IP-PBX Phone Systems

Short for Private Branch Exchange, a PBX is a private telephone network for your business. Users of the PBX share outside lines for making telephone calls external to the PBX.
If you are thinking of migrating to IP PBX system but not sure about it yet, a good way to go is, starting to use IP phones without making changes in your PBX system at the office and replace your old PBX system to IP PBX system when you are totally comfortable with VoIP.
The advances made in VOIP technology, and the ever dwindling price of hardware have enabled the IP PBX phone systems to be more flexible, less expensive, and easier to manage than has ever been possible before. In the past, a PBX system might have been prohibitively expensive for smaller companies and start ups. With IP PBX, your business could run a PBX in-house and present a professional image to your customers and vendors, without the traditional headaches and high cost associated with the PBX technology of the past.
Of course, the IP PBX system includes many other features besides just connecting calls. These include Digital Receptionist, Music on Hold, Time-based Behavior, Voicemail to your email inbox, Support for analog phones (including cordless phones), Support for IP Phones, Message Waiting Indicator, One Touch Voice-Mail Retrieval, Unlimited Nested IVR Menus, Call Transfer, and powerful on-line tool suites for both administrators and users, and much more!

FAX OVER IP

Fax_over_IP

Everything is going IP these days. The same is true for businesses across the world.

What is Fax over IP?

Fax over IP refers to the method and technology of sending fax documents over an IP network. This is different from the way faxes have traditionally been handled. For years the sending and receiving of fax documents has been handled over the PSTN or Publicly Switched Telephone Network. With Fax over IP fax documents by-pass the PSTN completely. This is similar to how VoIP (Voice over IP) works, but requires additional network bandwidth due to the increased size of fax documents.

How does Fax over IP work?

The concept behind how Fax over IP works is very straight forward (especially if you’re already familiar with how VoIP works).
With Fax over IP your fax document is first packetized, then encapsulated in a transport protocol and sent from “Point A” to “Point B”. Point A and Point B are typically fax machines which interface with a Fax over IP gateway or some sort of IP adapter.
These devices allow fax machines to interface with an IP network as well as conduct the digitizing and encapsulating of the fax document. The diagram below shows a typical Fax over IP set-up using a fax over IP gateway.

Cloud PBX Service

VoIP works just like a regular phone with just one key difference – how the phone call actually gets to your business. Instead of using the high priced telephone company’s wiring, VoIP routes your phone calls directly to your telephone using your high speed internet connection. You hear a dial tone and make your phone calls just like you’ve always done. What’s changed is that you don’t pay a big bill to use the phone company’s wires.

How Cloud PBX Works?

How you’re Business Makes and Receives Calls with Cloud PBX?
Taking all of the concepts and features of an analog PBX and hosting them on the Internet allows for ease of use and a greater level of flexibility. All of the features exist on the VoIP provider’s network which eliminates the need for an onsite PBX. This turns any building with internet connectivity into an office. It can be a home, warehouse or coffee shop as long as there is an internet connection and an endpoint. With CPBX, a user can make configuration adjustments to their service from a web portal. Also, the employees within the company can exist anywhere but can all be managed under the umbrella of the CPBX system. The scope of support is expansive and covers anything that is directly within the service provider’s umbrella. This includes all of the hosted features and communications with the end points.
SIP Trunking is a product that is geared towards the customer who already has an IP PBX or an understanding of how they work. With this product the service provider is only there to send and receive calls to the IP PBX. The IP PBX conceptually emulates the analog PBX in that all of the features and lines are configured there opposed to Cloud PBX where everything is configured with the service provider. The scope of support is limited to the signaling between the service provider and the PBX and does not extend in to the customer’s personal network or configuration.
